Shunned by the Republican Party of Texas, County Chairman Sues Political Opponents
After the Republican Party of Texas shunned Chairman Christ and his splinter group, Chairman Christ and two of his followers filed a lawsuit against his conservative political opponent and 17 other grassroots precinct chairs in the party he was elected to lead. When challenged by the defendants’ attorney on the lack of merits in their case, Chairman Christ’s attorneys filed for nonsuit and the Judge dismissed the case. Among those named in the lawsuit is Chairman Christ’s opponent in the 2024 Primary, Gwen Withrow, who is the Precinct 72 Chair as well as the State Republican Executive Committee Member for District 4 and a member of the Republican Party Of Texas Officials Committee.

After Republican Party of Texas Chairman Matt Rinaldi called the meeting of the Montgomery County District Executive Committee to be held at the location where the party majority was holding their December 5 County Executive Committee (CEC) meeting, Montgomery County Republican Party Chairman Bryan Christ immediately filed a lawsuit against his political opponent and 17 other Precinct Chairs in an effort to prevent those members from voting in the District Executive Committee meeting.
Tricia Danto’s Donations to ActBlue, Beto for Texas, and Rep. Steve Toth’s Democrat Challenger
Tricia Danto, who is running for The Woodlands Township Board Position 5, claims to be a “lifelong conservative,” but has a record of donating multiple times in recent years to ActBlue and Beto for Texas, and also donated to Rep. Steve Toth’s Democrat challenger, Kristin Johnson, in the 2022 election. Rep. Toth is one of the most conservative members of the Texas House.
Chairman Makes False Claims and Solicits Votes at City Council Meeting
Chairman Bryan Christ gave false public testimony during the Oct. 25 Shenandoah City Council meeting, including claims that the Republican Party is trying to keep people off the ballot and abolish the Primary Election. We ask voters and Elected Officials to please research this situation carefully. Since Chairman Christ does not have the majority behind him, his strategy is to try to invalidate the hard work of the Party Majority through relentless slander and attacks.

The Montgomery County Republican Party passed a resolution endorsing the reelection of Dr. Shelley Sekula-Gibbs for The Woodlands Township Position #5. Dr. Sekula-Gibbs is up for reelection in the November 7, 2023, General Election. Her opponent, Tricia Danto, has a record of donating to ActBlue, Beto For Texas, and donated to Rep. Steve Toth’s Democrat opponent in the 2022 election.
Response to Chairman Bryan Christ’s October 15 Email Sent to Montgomery County Elected Officials
The Montgomery County Republican Party Steering Committee has been notified that an email was sent to Elected Officials on October 15 from County Chairman Bryan Christ, claiming that the majority of the Montgomery County Republican Party is actually “a group which calls themselves the Freedom Caucus” and “has exhibited a pattern of operating outside the rules…” This is a tactic that Chairman Christ is using to confuse voters and undermine the hard work of the Party Majority.
Montgomery County GOP to hold Town Hall focused on law enforcement issues and taxing entities
The Montgomery County Republican Party will host a Town Hall Meeting in Conroe on October 26 at the KC Event Center, 2655 FM 1488. The focus is on law enforcement issues and taxing entities. A meet and greet will be held at 6:00 pm to allow attendees to meet Town Hall panelists, State Party Executive Committee Members for District 4, and Republican Precinct Chairs. The Town Hall will begin at 6:30 pm. There is no charge for admission.
Resolution supporting Israel’s right to exist, advocating the destruction of Hamas, and mourning the innocent who were murdered
Upon learning of the terrorist attack in Israel, Chairman Matt Rinaldi called for an emergency meeting of the Resolutions Committee to formally express the sentiment of the Republican Party of Texas. The Republican Party of Texas is pre-releasing the resolution, which will be formally passed at the Fourth Quarter State Republican Executive Committee (SREC) Meeting in December.
Montgomery County GOP passes Resolutions Addressing Republican Voters’ Concerns
The Montgomery County Republican Party passed five resolutions at the October County Executive Committee meeting to represent the voice of Republican voters in Montgomery County. The resolutions addressed election security, HB 900 and pornographic materials in Texas public schools, COVID medical freedom, as well as honoring Senators Bettencourt, Creighton, and Kolkhorst and endorsing Dr. Shelley Sekula-Gibbs.
