It is wonderful having President Trump in the White House, but that does not mean we are finished. Our country depends on us to make sure we put leaders in office who will continue the work of restoring our country.

The party’s County Executive Committee highlighted several actions as contradictory to Republican Party of Texas principles, including breaking Republican Caucus bylaws and voting with the Democrats to elect Dustin Burrows as Speaker of the House.

The County Chair discusses the resolution being considered at tonight’s County Executive Committee meeting and the need to move forward with a productive Legislative Session.

The Montgomery County Republican Party delivered censure resolutions to Rep. Will Metcalf and Rep. Cecil Bell on February 25 in Austin. The County Executive Committee will be voting on Tuesday, March 4, on the resolutions. The public is welcome at all CEC meetings.

It is so exciting to actually be represented by a politician that puts America and “We the People” first, but we also must address issues taking place in the Texas House. Our county and country depend on us—Trump cannot save this country all by himself.

The Republicans who voted in November for a Republican to represent them in Austin never dreamed that a minority of Republican Representatives would join with Democrats and vote to empower Democrats to control the Texas House. The State Party and County Party are taking action.

The Montgomery County Republican Party CEC voted on candidates running for Conroe ISD school board, Montgomery County Hospital District, The Woodlands Township, and Tomball ISD school board, and approved several candidates to be endorsed by the local party.

I, along with my fellow Montgomery County Republican Party members, am so thankful that our presidential candidate Donald Trump survived an attempt on his life today in Pennsylvania. We are deeply saddened by the loss of life of a bystander.

It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of one of our Precinct Chairs, Mr. Michael Medved. We extend our condolences and prayers for his wife, Julie, and his children and grandchildren. Services will be held on Monday, July 15.
