Let's Unite as Conservatives to Deliver What Texans Want!

4th of July Parade

Thank you to everyone who helped out with our 4th of July parade floats, especially Precinct 24 Chair, Bob Bagley; longtime volunteer, Phill Cady; Attorney Art Agular for usage of chairs for the float; and the Northshore Republican Women for allowing us to use their elephant!

Wow, it is such a privilege to live in Montgomery County! This past Tuesday evening, I was excited to attend the East Montgomery County Republican Women’s monthly meeting. It was an extremely informative meeting concerning “The Therapy Trap: How Corruption Undermines Mental Health Treatment,” by Rebecca Smith.  She explained how our mental health professionals are indoctrinated to push “Gender Affirming Care” on our children, often without knowledge of the parents.

This problem is part of the Republican Legislative Priority: Stop Sexualizing Texas Kids. Because of the attention Republicans have given this issue, several pieces of legislation have passed, but there remains considerable work to be done.

I always enjoy attending these meetings in East Montgomery County. It is a long drive for me, but a great opportunity to get to meet and talk to the elected officials and Republican Women of East Montgomery County. They always have really good snacks to munch on and I love that they do not require an RSVP to attend. Holly Juneau is the club president and I admire her talent and skill managing the club, which I think she learned in part by running a very large family.

On Wednesday, I attended a special luncheon, hosted by our Congressman Morgan Luttrell, as he updated the Republican Women of Montgomery and Walker Counties on legislative issues in Washington, D.C. How proud I was to hear of Congressman Luttrell’s heroic efforts in Kerrville. He used his skills as a former Navy SEAL to assist in the efforts to recover victims of the recent flooding. We have a real American hero serving our county as our Representative in Washington.

The room was packed as everybody was excited to hear what Congressman Luttrell had to say. It was a great event that was led by Master of Ceremonies Julie Faubel, Senate District 4 Director for the Texas Federation of Republican Women. The Congressman also has a great staff who made sure the event was well planned and everything ran on schedule.

That evening, I led the Montgomery County Republican Party Steering Committee meeting. These meetings are held at the Republican office in Montgomery on Highway 105. I updated the committee concerning our plans to have a Meet and Greet before each County Executive Committee meeting. These will be held in downtown Conroe at GuadalaHARRY’S restaurant at 4:30 pm on the first Tuesday of the month. All candidates running for office are invited to speak at the meeting and also circulate the room to talk with Precinct Chairs and the people of Montgomery County.  We are going to continue this practice until the Primary Election in March.

Join us before each County Executive Committee (CEC) meeting at GuadalaHARRY's restaurant at 4:30 pm in downtown Conroe. Meet your Precinct Chair and local candidates on the upcoming ballot. All Republicans are welcome!

I then devoted my time to preparing for the State Republican Executive Committee (SREC) Zoom meetings. My partner Dale Inman, Senate District 4 Committeeman, and I spent nine hours on Zoom over the weekend working with the SREC to complete the Texas GOP Legislative Task Force Report. I will be monitoring the 2nd Special Session of the Texas Legislature closely, as the items listed by the Governor are very important to the Republican Party.

It is such a privilege to serve as both the Republican County Chairman of Montgomery County as well as the State Republican Executive Committeewoman for Senate District 4. Thank you for allowing me to represent such a great part of Texas.

I encourage you to visit our calendar and Get Involved page to find out more about the party and other great conservative organizations in Montgomery County. Now is the time to unite as conservatives. Mark 3:25 reads, “And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.”

There are some who make their living on the destructive nature of division among us. Let us choose to move forward together to achieve what a majority of Texans want—conservative leadership.
