Planning for Precinct & Senate District Conventions Has Begun!
August 17, 2025 | Media Inquiries: press@mctxgop.org
Precinct and Senate District (SD) Conventions are the first in a series of conventions that define the Republican Party of Texas Party Platform and set the Republican Legislative Priorities for the next Texas Legislative Session.
Precinct Conventions are held after the Primary Election in March and are attended by voters in your local precinct. Attendees at the Precinct Convention may introduce resolutions for consideration and will elect delegates to the local Senatorial District (SD) Convention held later in March.
Delegates to the SD Convention vote on resolutions that will advance to the Texas GOP State Convention in the summer of 2026 and elect who will represent them at the state convention.

Members of the convention planning committees will find notes and documents in the top navigation menu on our website.
