Today our prayer list gets longer and more urgent. We pray for Israel as they face a seven-front attack. It is the duty of Christians to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. We saw two gunmen murder civilians in Jaffa today. American personnel are in harm’s way. I ask that we offer personal prayer for Israel, and our own country, as we face dangers against our very way of life.
I fear the open borders we have experienced under the current presidential administration. We must pray fervently. And, we must take action to turn out our vote as we have never seen before.
As the largest block of Republican voters in Texas, we in Montgomery County have a special responsibility to turn out the vote. We must deliver Texas for Donald Trump and make sure Ted Cruz is returned to represent us in the Senate. This is it! October is here and voting will start soon.
I continue to attend meetings and events throughout the county—always urging voters to work to turn out the vote. I eagerly await the reports from the various committees here tonight. Here are some upcoming events I want to make each of you aware of:
On Friday, October 4th at 9am, there will be election integrity training for Precinct Chairs on Zoom. Cyndie Phillips can give you the details.
On Sunday, October 6th from 2pm to 4pm at Julie Faubel’s home, Bob and I, along with Dale and Julie and their spouses, will host a meeting to present Gina Parker to our voters. Gina is the Republican nominee for Texas Court of Criminal Appeals Place 7. Uninformed voters do not know how important the judges’ races are. It is up to us to make sure they vote the entire ballot wisely.
The Party will have a work day on Saturday, October 5th from 2 to 6pm. We are encouraging all Republican supported candidates to have materials at the KC Hall before 2pm. Precinct Chairs and others who will be block walking may prepare their packets.
Lastly, early voting will be starting on October 21st. We need folks signed up to work the parking lots to pass out our voter guide. Please use the SignUpGenius from Precinct 97 Chair Kim Weber to make sure all the locations and times are covered. Members of the public can sign up to help by using our volunteer form.
Please, please, please make sure you are either working inside the polling places or working the parking lot as elections start. I will be at election central much of the time during the election, which for this particular election I feel this is important for me. As I will not be available to sign poll watcher forms, I am appointing Party Secretary DJ Fike as my proxy to sign these forms when I am not available.
Thank you to all of the Precinct Chairs and volunteers for your incredible hard work. Let’s turn out the vote and deliver a huge win for Republicans up and down the ballot!
