The Fifth Circuit has temporarily stayed the ruling that would have blocked AG Paxton's ability to conduct investigations into ballot harvesting schemes.

Attorney General Paxton sent a letter to the Texas Secretary of State formally requesting the records of every registered voter without a State of Texas-issued driver’s license or identification card number in order to facilitate efforts to stop noncitizen voting and investigate potential voter fraud.

The advisory is part of the Attorney General’s Election Integrity Initiative which leverages Office of the Attorney General law enforcement authority and resources to protect the integrity of every legal vote.
