Texas lost a mighty warrior

On May 4, Texas lost a mighty warrior with the passing of Mr. Alan Vera. Mr. Vera passed away at the Texas Capitol advocating for election integrity as he prepared to testify in support of multiple bills.
Mr. Vera served as the Chair of the Harris County GOP Ballot Security Committee and was one of the original founders of “True the Vote” in Texas. He was considered to be the foremost expert on election integrity in this region and won multiple awards for his political activism.
I met Mr. Vera in 2018 when he was in Montgomery County and we were both testifying before the Commissioner’s Court regarding election integrity issues. I found him to be a very thoughtful, honorable person and we kept in touch since then. On Tuesday, April 13, Mr. Vera and I were at the Capitol testifying on Election related legislation and we were able to catch up. I am still in shock that he is gone.
Mr. Vera and his wife, Colleen, were a true team. Mrs. Vera is a community activist who has gathered a great deal of election fraud evidence in Texas over the past decade. Many of you may have met the Veras when they spoke at the Montgomery County Tea Party and Montgomery County Eagle Forum meetings.
Mr. Vera always said he "gives all the credit for whatever good he's accomplished to Almighty God." His passion and dedication to election integrity was inspirational to all who knew him and he will be sorely missed.
Services will be held on Sat., May 20, 2 pm, at Glorious Way Church, 11611 Champion Forest Dr. in Houston.
