Gwen Withrow Swearing-in With Senator Brandon Creighton

Texas Senator Brandon Creighton performs the swearing-in of Chairman Gwen Withrow.

The June 18th Ceremonial Swearing-in and 2nd Annual Armor of God Prayer Event was a momentous occasion as many gathered for an evening of prayer and celebration.

Senator Brandon Creighton served as the keynote speaker for the event and performed the swearing-in of new Montgomery County Republican Party Chairman Gwen Withrow, along with the incoming Precinct Chairs who will be serving for the next two years. He was also presented with an appreciation plaque from the party for his strong stance in the impeachment trial of Attorney General Ken Paxton.

Chairman Withrow gave a rousing and encouraging speech to motivate new Precinct Chairs and Montgomery County activists in their work. “We are not going to let our schools be filled with pornography, let women’s sports be destroyed, permit family-friendly drag shows in our libraries, watch our children mutilated, or sit by and allow human trafficking and modern-day slavery,” she said. “Not to mention our wide-open borders making drug cartels richer as they flood our country with fentanyl. We are putting our foot down and saying no. There is important work to do. We are standing together and making this nation Great Again.”

Texas Youth Summit founder, Christian Collins, opened the evening in prayer and Montgomery County Republican Party Vice Chairman, Jon Bouché, served as emcee.

A touching note in the ceremony was the presentation of a Texas flag flown over the capitol to State Republican Executive Committee (SREC) member, Precinct 27 Chair, and pastor, Dale Inman, in commemoration of the passing of his father. Senator Creighton noted that Mr. Inman, Sr., was a kind voice in the beginning years of the senator’s political career.

Pastor Jason Nelson delivered a challenging sermon on the Armor of God that encouraged all to continue to stand against evil schemes while daily putting on the full armor of God. County Clerk Brandon Steinmann and Pastor David Anderson prayed over the newly inducted group and elected officials, and Judge Wayne Mack closed the evening in spirit-filled prayer. Hymns and patriot music were performed by Texas Twilight and God’s Digital Angels.

The event was well attended by the community, elected officials, incoming and outgoing Precinct Chairs. Special thanks is given to Pastor Steve Riggle and Grace Church Woodlands for allowing the use of the church for this special and important event.

Covered in prayer and ready for the fight, Montgomery County Republican Party thanks all who attended and we look forward to the new biennium.
