Mainstream media claims "no evidence" of Biden family corruption

At a May 10 press conference, the US House Oversight Committee revealed that it has obtained thousands of pages of financial records pointing to an extensive influence-peddling scheme involving nine members of the Biden family, including Joe Biden.
The Committee has outlined a complicated network of companies they allege to have been set up during Joe Biden’s vice presidency. They further accused the Bidens of receiving millions from foreign sources. Chairman James Comer explained that the financial records also reveal how the Bidens used complicated transactions to hide payments from foreign nationals, including CCP-linked associates.
“The Bidens intentionally sought to hide, confuse, and conceal their influence peddling schemes, but bank records don’t lie,” said Chairman Comer. “The Bidens made millions from foreign nationals providing what seems to be no services other than access and influence. From the thousands of records we’ve obtained so far, we know the Biden family set up over a dozen companies when Joe Biden was vice president. The Bidens engaged in many intentionally complicated financial transactions to hide these payments and avoid scrutiny. In at least one instance, the Bidens’ CCP-linked associates took steps to conceal the source of the payment to the Bidens.”
Mainstream media claims “no wrongdoing”
Yet, the New York Times headline on May 11 declared that the committee found “no evidence of wrongdoing by President Biden.”
Twitter user Chrissy Dupuy quipped, “NYT has gone from ‘All the News That’s Fit to Print’ to ‘Only News That Fits the Narrative.’ And the Narrative is a lie.”
Other mainstream media outlets parroted similar headlines with stories claiming no links were found to Joe Biden and repeating a statement from White House spokesman Ian Sams’ Twitter account that the committee presented “no evidence of any wrongdoing” by President Biden, and that “House Republicans have shown no evidence of any policy decisions influenced by anything other than U.S. national interests.”
In a 36-page memorandum, the committee reported that it has uncovered “evidence indicative of influence peddling and financial deception warranting further investigation and legislative solutions.”
According to Chairman Comer, “The Bidens’ foreign entanglements are breathtaking and raise serious questions about why foreign actors targeted the Biden family, what they expected in return, and whether our national security is threatened. We will continue to pursue additional bank records to follow the money trail and inform legislative solutions to prevent this type of corruption. Americans deserve answers, transparency, and accountability.”
Misleading the American people
Rather than investigating the claims of corruption made by the House Oversight Committee, leftist media outlets like the New York Times twisted the report to once again attempt to mislead the American public.
“It's disgusting that the mainstream media is actively ignoring Biden’s corruption,” said Congressman Byron Daniels (R-FL). “He is compromised. Sixteen-plus LLCs and shady business deals in China and Romania, all based around influence-peddling his name while vice president. If he somehow didn’t know, he could be the dumbest person in the history of the planet.”
Switching to alternative news sources
If you haven’t already abandoned the legacy media, it’s time to improve your news. Even Fox News, which still interviews conservatives like Congressman Daniels, refuses to cover stories that put them at risk of lawsuits, don’t fit their approved narratives, or may cause them to lose advertisers. The departure of Tucker Carlson in April is the latest example.
“They are banking on you coming back to them,” said former Fox News Host Megyn Kelly in a May 8 podcast, speaking about the dramatic drop in viewership since Carlson’s departure from Fox. “You can’t go to CNN. You’re not gonna go to Newsmax. You’re not gonna go to digital media. You’re gonna tune in to the Fox News primetime, you lapdogs. It’s what you always do. It’s how they have billions."
Lapdogs no more
Three years ago, many Americans couldn’t imagine switching to alternative news sources, but after living through COVID, cancel culture, the J6 false narrative, and lack of election fraud coverage, Americans are recognizing the need for news sources dedicated to free speech and true investigative reporting.
Seek your news from a variety of sources. Look for those who critically evaluate issues rather than network news that repeats a given narrative. It’s time to ditch the mainstream media - and encourage our friends and family to do the same.
