From TexasGOP Chairman, Abraham George

Howdy,

I hope you are having a good week! As always, thank you for taking the time to read this edition of the Chairman’s Newsletter. I am excited to share some party updates and opportunities coming up.

Texas has spoken, securing numerous victories in the recent election cycle! We gave it everything we had, and our efforts were rewarded! However, the fight isn’t over! Now that we have depleted our resources, we need your support more than ever. Please donate today to help replenish our resources. Our party depends on it!

SREC Meeting

State Republican Executive Committee (SREC) members met for a final time this year for the Q4 SREC meeting on December 7th and 8th. During the duration of the weekend, the Texas House Speaker’s race was unfolding over at the Capitol. It was incredible to see our members embody our conservative values of faith and unity as we joined together in prayer over the outcome.

We also passed numerous resolutions at the meeting that can be found on our website.

Speaker’s Race

Speaking of, do not feel helpless about the Speaker’s race. There are four things that you can do to make certain we get the results we need when the Texas House reconvenes to vote on January 14th.

  1. Please continue to pray. Philippians 4:6 states: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

  2. Call your representative here: (512) 463-4630. Urge them to unite behind Rep. David Cook as detailed in our resolution adopted at the SREC meeting.

  3. On January 14th, join me and other grassroots advocates in the halls of the capitol (more details to come) and wear your Ban Democrat Chairs shirts from the last legislative session, or hold handwritten signs saying “REFORM!” or “No Democrat Chairs,” etc. Note: The Montgomery County Republican Party is planning a trip to the capitol in a chartered bus for the big day! Watch our website for details as they unfold.

  4. The TV ad below is playing across the Lubbock area NOW. Lubbock is part of Rep. Burrows’s House district. Please help us get the word out and share this video on your social media no matter where you live in Texas!

Coffee and Chat with the Chairman

I'm kicking off my tour across Texas on Saturday, December 21st, in Collin County! I’ll be holding coffee chats to connect with patriots at each location where we can discuss your questions and get to know each other better.

This Saturday, I will be focused on Legislative Priorities and the Speaker’s race.

Please follow our social media @TexasGOP on X, Instagram, and Facebook to get updates!

TAKE ACTION

The only Texas Rep. for Montgomery County who voted for Burrows is Rep. Will Metcalf. If you're in Rep. Metcalf's district, please call and remind him he was not elected to support Democrats! We need him to come out and publicly support David Cook for Texas House Speaker and vote for him in the House floor vote in January.

Texas GOP Chairman Abraham George

Abraham George is the Chairman of the Republican Party of Texas. He has served many roles in the Texas Republican Party, including former County Chairman of Collin County and former SREC Member of the State Party. Born in Kerala, India, he was raised in a Christian household by Pentecostal preacher parents who instilled in him a deep sense of purpose and a strong belief in hard work. At the age of two, his family began a 14-year quest for visas to the United States, motivated by the desire to provide their children with the freedoms and opportunities that America offered.
