Resolution To Send Information to Voters About Those Who Are Financing the Divide in the Party

WHEREAS, the Montgomery County Republican Party does not endorse in the Primary Elections; and

WHEREAS, the Chairman of the party and his wife have formed PACs using the word Republican in the names of those PACs which do endorse in the Primary Election; and

WHEREAS, the Chairman of the party and his wife are raising money for their personal PACs by telling people that the money is for the local Republican Party Headquarters; and

WHEREAS, the Republican Party opposes fundraising when the money the Chairman and his wife are raising is not for the local party but for the Chairman and his wife’s PACs which they are using to blur the lines between the Republican Party and their PAC and thus divide the party; and

WHEREAS, elected officials who gave to their PAC have been notified that the “Continue the Legacy” fundraiser is not for the Republican Party Headquarters as represented but is instead for the Chairman and his wife’s PAC.

THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED that the Montgomery County Republican Party denounces the misrepresentations made by the Chairman in stating that the money he is raising for the “Continue the Legacy” fundraiser is for the local party headquarters.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Montgomery County Republican Party will publish the names of all elected officials who are knowingly contributing to the Chairman and his wife’s fundraiser as reported on the July 2023 Texas Ethics Commission Reports.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the names of those elected officials who are financing the Chairman and his wife’s continued efforts to divide the party will be published to the party voter database and on all websites and social media.
