MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX - The most up-to-date power restoration, cooling centers, and storm recovery information is being put out by elected officials on Facebook. We are reposting these links on our Facebook page. You don’t need a Facebook account to view the information.

The following websites also provide information and assistance for storm recovery:

  • Debris removal, shelters, & cooling centers: Visit Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management.

  • Property value reassessments: A disaster declaration has been issued for our area. If your property sustained damage, you may be eligible to request a reassessment of your property value if the damage significantly affects its market value. Visit the Montgomery Central Appraisal District for more information and to download the application form. The deadline is August 13, 2024. Questions: inquiries@mcad-tx.org.

One of our Republican Precinct Chairs, Luis Pedraza (precinct 110), has offered to answer questions and help people with this process. You can contact him at pedraza002@gmail.com or 281-638-5565.

  • Additional disaster recovery information and status updates: Visit the Texas Division of Emergency Management.

  • Insurance claims: The Texas Department of Insurance has a Help Line to assist you with any questions on navigating a claim (800-252-3439) and more information on their website.

We are also posting churches and community organizations that are offering relief on our social media accounts, especially Facebook. We continue to pray for everyone impacted. Please contact us if you have questions and we will do our best to point you in the right direction.
