Senator Cruz Calls for U.S. Senate to Pass the SAVE America Act

This week, the U.S. House passed the SAVE America Act. Now, it’s the Senate’s turn. Senator Ted Cruz is calling for the Senate to pass the SAVE America Act immediately.
“As an original sponsor of the SAVE America Act, I can tell you that this legislation, that requires proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote and a photo ID to vote, will better preserve election integrity,” Senator Cruz said. “Texas already requires a photo ID to vote, and it makes sense for every state in America to do the same. It's an easy, common-sense step to avoid voter fraud, and the vast majority of Americans support photo ID.”
