Texans stepping up to support Conservative warrior Ken Paxton

Texas Conservatives continue to be attacked by both establishment Democrats and Republican RINOs.

Attorney General Ken Paxton was impeached on May 27 by the Texas House of Representatives, with only 23 Republicans voting against the controversial action. Many Republican voters see this as a direct assault against the Conservative movement and Texas values, and a telling indictment of how Republican legislators ignore the wishes of their constituents.

Conservatives paying close attention to the votes of their legislators

A growing number of voters are calling for all Republicans who voted for impeachment, including Speaker Dade Phelan, to be primaried and removed from office next year. This call is being heard.

Concerned citizens in House District 21, home of Speaker Phelan, are showing their displeasure for the Texas Speaker’s part in leading the impeachment efforts, as well as his poor showing in bringing forth Republican Party priority bills and Conservative legislation. He now has two opponents in next year’s Primary, Alicia Davis and David Covey. It is not just voters in his district, but Republicans around the state, who are looking forward to him being unseated in the next election.

Republican Party of Texas Chairman Matt Rinaldi said that Primary voters need to take note of who voted for this “sham of an impeachment” and blasted legislators for ignoring the “near-universal condemnation among GOP precinct chairs and angry phone calls from people who volunteered for your campaigns.”

The Republican Party of Texas voted on June 17 to condemn the Texas House’s impeachment of Attorney General Paxton.

In addition, the Republican Party of Texas State Executive Committee voted on June 17 to condemn the Texas House’s impeachment of Attorney General Paxton. Voting 53 to 11, the resolution was passed overwhelmingly.  The resolution cited the lack of adherence to precedent and due process for the Attorney General while being unsupported by competent and admissible evidence.  It further called on Lt. Governor Patrick and the Texas Senate and to dismiss the articles of impeachment “with prejudice.”

Speaker Phelan’s call for the impeachment of Attorney General Ken Paxton may be the final straw for Texas Conservatives. AG Paxton has been the most strident warrior for Conservatives and for the state of Texas that we have seen in decades. As a result, he has been targeted by the mainstream media, the Biden administration, Democrats, and Texas RINOs.

Charges against Attorney General Paxton

AG Paxton came to Montgomery County at the invitation of the Montgomery County Tea Party PAC in April 2022, and was interviewed by the Vetting Committee. During the interview, he addressed the issue of pending charges that are now being used against him in the impeachment. The Office of the Attorney General maintains that the charges are inaccurate and false and that the impeachment is illegal.

AG Paxton was interviewed by the Montgomery County Tea Party Vetting Committee in April 2022, and addressed the issue of pending charges at the 47:33 mark. (We apologize for the video’s lack of sound quality.)

AG Paxton’s devotion to freedom

AG Paxton’s record clearly illustrates his love of Texas and his devotion to both the Texas and U.S. Constitutions, the people of Texas, and the freedoms we enjoy. He has worked tirelessly to defend and protect us all from the overreach of the Obama and Biden administrations. Act for America provided a list of some of his recent accomplishments:

  • Successfully defended the Texas “Heartbeat Act” legislation against Biden’s federal lawsuit;

  • Supported protecting children’s innocence and blocking gender modification treatment for minors, while Speaker Phelan blocked the passage of key legislation to increase protections;

  • Fought and won to uphold ruling on banning school mask mandates;

  • Fought and won against Biden’s OSHA Vax mandate; and

  • Declared child sex changes and puberty blockers “Child Abuse” under Texas Law.

Senate trial

Take Action

Voters across the state are encouraged to work with their local Republican Party County Executive Committee to recruit and support viable candidates to primary any legislator who ignores the Will of the People!

The Texas Primary will be held on March 5, 2024, and is every voter’s best opportunity to either affirm their approval or show their disapproval for their elected officials. Your vote is your voice and it must be heard. Working with your local Republican Party is an effective way to learn about issues that directly affect your community and your freedoms.
