From Dr. Milinda Morris, Chairman, Texas GOP Secure The Electric Grid Subcommittee

You can use Texas Legislature Online (TLO) to look up current status of any of these bills or to read the bill text. Check out our how-to article if you’ve never used TLO.

I want you all to see the video from the State Affairs Committee meeting yesterday.

Five bills were heard in the committee. SB 75 (Bob Hall's bill) was heard. Don Brown, Shannon Perry, David Tice, Tom Glass and several more were there to testify in support of SB 75. Col. Terry Wilson sponsored the bill in Committee. SB 1535 was presented last. Our committee supports this bill as well.

SB 18 bill with testimony was presented first. SB 18 is a bill by Hughes relating to prohibiting municipal libraries that host certain events from receiving state or other public funding. Testimony lasted about an hour. See how Democratic committee members respond to testimonies against “Drag Queen Story Time.”

Below is the complete video of yesterday’s hearing. It is disturbing. Reveals the climate in Austin against conservative values.
