Mayorkas Says, “Build the Wall!”

A message from the Republican Party of Texas
In early 2021, Biden promised supporters that his administration wouldn’t build “another foot” of border wall.
Yesterday, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas quietly announced the Biden administration would begin constructing miles of border wall in Texas. In the process, he waived 26 environmental laws, citing an “acute and immediate need” that can not be delayed. What a joke!
For over two years, Sec. Mayorkas claimed the border was secure and did absolutely nothing. He doesn’t get to suddenly start shouting, “Build the Wall!”
Flip-flopping based on poll numbers doesn’t change reality. Mayorkas must be impeached!
This move is not only a shocking policy reversal, it’s completely hypocritical. The Biden administration has relentlessly attacked Republicans for supporting a secure border, including a border wall. Now, they want one too?
They can’t have it both ways! Biden and Mayorkas’s open-border policies directly led to record-high numbers of illegal border crossings, putting our communities and families in harm’s way. And we must never forget that.
At the Republican Party of Texas, we believe someone must lead our border security efforts with the courage to always do what is right — not what a poll says is politically favorable.
