Senatorial District (SD) Conventions are meetings of delegates who were elected at their Precinct Conventions, held on March 5. Anyone may attend their SD Convention as a guest, but in order to participate in your precinct caucus at the convention, you must have been elected as a delegate at your Precinct Convention on March 5.
Delegates will participate in the convention for their Senatorial District (SD): SD 4, SD 7, or SD 18. If you don’t know your Senatorial District, click here and enter your information in the “Voter Information” fields, then click “search.” Your Senatorial District will be listed in the “Your Current Representative Information” table.
What to Expect at Your SD Convention
Remember to Bring Your Photo ID
Delegates will check in upon arrival. You will show your photo ID when you check in to verify your identity as a delegate.
SD Convention Goals
The primary goals for each SD Convention are to:
Elect delegates to the State Convention to be held May 23-25 in San Antonio.
Determine which Resolutions submitted will be forwarded to the State Convention.
Before You Arrive
Prior to attending your SD Convention, please check your schedule to determine if you will be able to attend the State Convention. If you are unable to attend the State Convention, please allow others who can attend to be elected as delegates.
It's also important to become familiar with the current Party Platform prior to attending your SD Convention and look over the Parliamentary Motions Chart to help you understand parliamentary procedures that are followed during SD Conventions (you may want to print a copy to bring with you).

State Convention At-Large Delegate & Alternate Interviews (SD 4 Only)
Please note that we will NOT be conducting interviews at the SD 4 Convention on March 23 for at-large delegates and alternates to the State Convention, but applications will be accepted at the convention.
If you would like to apply to be an at-large delegate or alternate to the State Convention, please make every effort to apply and interview in advance with the Nominations Committee.
