Called a “Failed Leader” by the State Party

The Republican Party of Texas Mediation Report states that the division in the party is due to a “failure of leadership by Chair Christ.”

Profession

  • Works in IT. Has claimed to be everything from a Chief Information Officer (CIO) to a Chief Executive Officer (CEO), but will not provide names of companies where he worked.

  • Constantly changes his résumé depending on his audience.

  • His wife’s Southern Heritage Consulting company is the favored paid political consulting firm of the “Good Old Boy” Establishment in Montgomery County, creating a conflict of interest.

Political Experience

  • Never held office or attended a Montgomery County Republican Party County Executive Committee (CEC) meeting prior to being elected to County Chair in 2020.

  • Failed to win election for Precinct Chair in 2016.

  • Failed to win election for Precinct Chair in 2018.

  • Won the County Chair race in 2020, then ran unopposed in 2022.

  • Republican Party of Texas Mediation Report states that the division in the party is due to a “failure of leadership by Chair Christ.”

Awards & Achievements

  • Was given an award by the Texas Republican County Chairs Association (TRCCA) after closing down the local party headquarters without authorization, and then giving the president of the TRCCA the audio/visual equipment and office furniture which was the property of the Montgomery County Republican Party.

  • Stated that Precinct Chairs elected to represent local Republicans are “not the party” and are not necessary for it to function.

  • Said that unifying the party is not his responsibility.
