Call To Action - Border Security Hearing - Online Comments

August 28, 2023 | Austin, TX

Did you know that the Texas House Homeland Security Committee is having a hearing on Friday, September 1st, regarding Operation Lone Star and border security?  You would be forgiven for having missed it, since there seems little news on it.

The 88th session of the Texas Legislature was a pretty dismal one in terms of efforts to secure our border.  Much of the legislation that was considered on the topic, somehow failed to make it to the floor for a vote.  As the invasion of illegals, cartels and human traffickers expands, our federal government is selling off sections of the wall and suing Texas for its own efforts to stop the flood.

Here is your chance to have a say.  In-person testimony will not be heard, but the public is allowed to comment online here.

This information is brought to you by the people of the Alliance for a Safe Texas, who are asking Texans to support and comment on the following:

  • The reconstitution of the Texas Department of Homeland Security as a stand-alone department.

  • Funding and support for Regional Cooperative Task Forces, which will collaborate with Operation Lone Star.

  • Support for expanded elite brush teams.

  • Creation of a stand-alone Texas Border Force under the direction of the Texas Border Czar.

  • Address ongoing and long-standing issues with HHS-contracted facilities housing unaccompanied minors throughout Texas.

Let ‘em have it, folks!

TAKE ACTION

Make your voice heard that you want the border secured. Public Comments are being taken online only here.
